1. About these Terms

BolHisab is provided by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS] (“BolHisab”, “we”, “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the BolHisab web application, its mobile app packaging, its APIs, the CA Partner portal, the client portal and the free tools at /tools (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account, accepting an invitation or using the Service you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business. Additional terms apply to the CA Partner portal and the client portal.

2. The Service

BolHisab is accounting software for businesses in India. It lets you record sales, purchases, expenses, payments and other transactions by text, voice or uploaded documents; issue GST invoices and notes; manage inventory; reconcile bank statements; and view reports. AI features help interpret what you say or upload and suggest entries; nothing is posted to your books until you confirm it. See the AI Disclaimer.

BolHisab is a software tool. It is not a chartered accountant, tax practitioner, auditor or legal adviser, and it does not file returns or other documents with any government portal on your behalf. See the GST & Tax Disclaimer.

3. Accounts and security

  • You must give accurate information, verify your email address and keep your password and any two-factor codes confidential.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account and for the people you invite to your business. Roles and permissions you assign decide what each person can see and do.
  • Tell us promptly at [SECURITY CONTACT EMAIL] if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • The Service is intended for businesses and professionals. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

4. Your data

You retain all rights in the business data you enter or upload (“Customer Data”). You grant us a limited licence to host, process, transmit and display Customer Data only to provide, secure and support the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of Customer Data, including personal data of your customers, suppliers and staff, and for having a lawful basis to provide it to us. For that data you decide the purpose; we process it on your behalf.

You can export reports and registers from the Service. Keep your own copies of records you are legally required to retain.

5. Plans, payment and trial

The Service is offered on a Free plan and paid plans whose current prices and limits are shown in the app and on our website. New businesses may receive a free trial of a paid plan (currently 14 days). Paid plans are paid in advance for a monthly or yearly period through our payment partner, Razorpay. Prices are shown inclusive of GST where stated.

Payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds are covered by the Refund & Cancellation Policy. If a paid period ends without renewal, the business moves to Free plan limits; existing data is not deleted because a plan ends.

6. Acceptable use

You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, you must not use the Service to create false records, facilitate tax evasion, upload malicious files, or access accounts or data you are not authorised to access.

7. Free tools

The free tools at /tools are provided without charge and may be used without an account, subject to daily limits on AI processing. They are provided for convenience; outputs (for example a generated invoice PDF or a GST calculation) must be checked by you before use. Some tools run entirely in your browser; others send your file to our servers and, for AI tools, to an AI provider. Each tool says which.

8. Our intellectual property

The Service, its software, design and content (other than Customer Data) belong to us or our licensors. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during your subscription in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, reverse engineer (except as permitted by law), resell or build a competing product from the Service.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may carry out maintenance, and we may change or discontinue features. Where a change materially reduces a paid feature you rely on, we will try to give reasonable notice in the app or by email.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account closure from Settings → Privacy & data. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Where reasonable we will give notice and an opportunity to export your data, unless that would be unlawful or create a security risk.

After closure we delete or anonymise Customer Data as described in the Privacy Policy, except where we must retain it by law or it remains in backups for a limited period.

11. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that calculations, AI suggestions, extracted data or reports are free from error or fit for a particular regulatory purpose. You remain responsible for reviewing entries, returns and filings, and for professional advice where you need it.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from Customer Data you provide without a lawful basis, or from your breach of these Terms or applicable law.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights, the courts at [JURISDICTION CITY] have exclusive jurisdiction. Before going to court, please raise the matter through our grievance process so we can try to resolve it.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The version and effective date are shown at the top of this page. When we publish a new version, signed-in users are asked to review and accept it in the app; continued use after the effective date of a non-material update constitutes acceptance.
